Thoughts that make me go hmmmm....

"Indeed, nothing is more critically connected to happiness—both our own and that of our children—than how well we love and support one another within the family." M. Russell Ballard

Where did January go?

Since it the first day of the month of LOOOOOOOOVE, I decided to blog about how awesome my cute hubby is. He is the best hubby and father EVER! We have so much fun together and I am very grateful that this year he is actually going to be home for Valentines Day! As for re-capping our past few weeks...January seemed to just come and go before we could even exhale. We had a fun little party on New Years with some of our dear friends here. The kids did a big loud "countdown" at about 7:45 pm. They did a great job banging on my pots and pans and throwing around some "poppers". Tim had most of the holiday break off and did a fabulous job growing out his facial hair to look like a 70's pimp daddy (see pic). Unfortunately, he had to go back to his clean shaven ways once he headed back to work. The rest of the month we kept busy with our usual...church, school, getting kids to different games. Kennedy is playing an extended outdoor soccer season and Tyler opted for basketball. They are having fun as always. We took the kids sledding up in the mountains after one of the big storms and had a GREAT time. I have to admit though, I am already looking forward to those hot summer days splashing around in the pool. I'll have Tim add a video of our latest pics when he gets home tonight.

Day of riding

Quick update to share a few pictures of our riding fun this week. I went out with Tyler and Logan for the day. We rode and rode and rode. I think we all were a bit tired after our fun. Tyler is getting more and more aggressive. He took a few spills when I took him over to some harder trails with my bike and his. My favorite was when he was following me through some whoops and I looked back to find him not on the bike and in a bush. Must have missed that turn. Good learning for all. Logan is turning into a little maniac. Unfortunately he cannot touch the ground on his motorcycle yet. That is why he still rides with the training wheels even though he has been riding a bicycle without them for over a year. Soon enough and then he will be a terror right behind his brother, or in front. If you look closely at one of the pictures of Logan he has THREE wheels off the ground, two training wheels and the front wheel. He was trying to "jump" all day. Fun times and more to come later this week.

I even took Colton out for a spin around the neighborhood when we got home. He loves the motorcycles. I am sure he will follow suit with the rest.

Enjoy.

Christmas 2009

Christmas has come and gone once again. We had a wonderful Christmas Day with the family. The kids had an absolutely awesome day with lots of smiles, laughs and fun times. We were on the go from 6:30 am until late that evening. From opening gifts to simply playing with the new things from Santa and family. Each one of the kids kept yelling, "Awesome, cool, just what I wanted" and many more. The smiles kept coming throughout the morning. Dad was able to throw in one surprise gift as he always does. In the slideshow of pictures you will see Allison's reaction. Priceless. She was not upset that I got something, only at the fact that I was able to hide it from her. I win again. Yes! And if you didn't know, it is a game, always in our house. I win, I win, I win.

By the way, the pictures of Colton at the beginning of the slide show are when he was trying to get ready for a bath on his own. A little bunner crack going up the stairs made for a great photo opportunity.

Enjoy the pictures from our Christmas Eve and Day. We had a blast. What great and fun memories again. Love to all and have a great upcoming New Year. More surprises to come in 2010.
